UK Retailer Launches Discounted Phone and Preloaded Unlimited SIM Bundles

Who remembers prepaid phone plans? They’re back, thanks to mobile phone retailer Mozillion who have launched a series of prepaid phone and SIM only bundles where you pay once upfront for a phone and a whole year of discounted unlimited data, texts and calls, reducing the total cost of your phone bill.

It’s a novel idea in a market used to pay monthly subscriptions, but one that makes sense, particularly if you’re buying a SIM free phone and paying upfront already, as you can add all the data, calls and texts you need for the year into the package, avoiding any monthly phone bills. Of course, if you’d rather pay your phone bill monthly then this probably isn’t for you, but its worth doing the maths as some of launch bundles offer substantial savings.

It’s also potentially a good option for parents of children with phones, in that they won’t run out of data, nor will they be able to rack up a surprise phone bill.

You can choose from a number of different phone models including the new iPhone 15 series, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra or the more budget-focussed Galaxy A15 5G. There is also no credit check or contract.

For travellers, EU roaming is included but roaming data is capped at 25GB per month. Tethering is also permitted. One thing to note, like some other network plans, the plan doesn’t include MMS (picture messages), so if you’re looking to send photos via message, you’ll need to ensure you’re using iMessage (for iPhone users) or any other messaging service that uses data, such as WhatsApp, Telegram or Facebook Messenger.

For anyone wanting to take advantage of just the discounted SIM only plan without a phone, a 12 month version for £216 and 24 month version for £360. These work out as £18 and £15 a month for unlimited data, calls and texts.

Mozillion are including a 12 month warranty with each phone, the plans all run on O2’s network and you can keep your existing mobile number if you choose, by selecting the port option at their checkout.
