Stormzy will perform at the first ever 5G-powered gig in London to mark the UK launch of the new high-speed network.
EE confirmed this week that they’ll be switching on their 5G network on May 30th in six cities, including London. To celebrate the launch, EE are hosting a live performance from UK-artist Stormzy which they’ll be streaming it live over 5G to YouTube, plus they’re giving away tickets in a ballot to attend the event. The gig takes place on Wednesday 29th May.
The one-off performance by the platinum-selling artist will take place at a top secret central London location as EE attempts to makes history by streaming the first live performance over 5G. To enter the ballot to win a pair of tickets to be there you need to head here and fill in your details by midnight Sunday 26 May 2019. You need to be over 18 to enter.
Expect hits from his 2017 album, Gang Signs & Prayer, as well as his new single, Vossi Bop, which recently spent two weeks at number one.
The winners will be drawn at random on Monday 27 May. If successful, EE will contacted via email by midday on Monday 27 May 2019 with further details.
For those who aren’t able to get tickets, EE will also be live-streaming the event over 5G. The company will also be presenting the gig as a 360-degree virtual reality experience for fans to get a front-row view in select EE stores in its other 5G launch cities: Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The performance will be streaming live over 5G from 9.30pm on YouTube.com/EE.
