Samsung have recently added another smartphone to their impressive range of handsets. The mid-range Samsung Galaxy A8 smartphone heads up their A-series of mobile phones with a beautiful high-end design and some very respectable specs. Here’s the lowdown on the Galaxy A8.
With stunning premium good looks and the accolade of being Samsung’s slimmest smartphone to date at just 5.9mm in depth, the Samsung Galaxy A8 boasts an all metal design with the smallest of bezels. Featuring a good-sized 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display which gives a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, the A8 screen offers 386 pixels per inch. As well as being super slim, the Galaxy A8 is also lightweight at only 151 grams despite packing in a powerful 3050mAh battery. The A8 also comes with a fingerprint sensor located in the home button like Samsung’s S series of smartphones.
The A8 Galaxy will offer fantastic value for money, it boasts a good quality 16-megapixel camera on the rear which features autofocus and an LED flash. The front-facing 5 megapixel camera records video in 1080p and is a great addition for a mid-range smartphone.
Under the cover, there is a quad-core Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor together with 2GB of RAM. The onboard memory of 16GB should be more than adequate for most people but there’s also the option to expand it to a maximum of 128GB with the use of a MicroSD card. The A8 will run on the Android Lollipop 5.1 operating system alongside Samsung’s improved TouchWiz user interface.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 will come in three colours including Pearl White, Midnight Black and Champagne Gold and is expected to be available in the UK sometime in the Autumn.
