OnePlus 7T Pro Announced To Take On iPhone 11 Pro and Google Pixel 4 XL

The much-loved OnePlus 7 Pro gets an upgrade.

It’s been talked about for a while but OnePlus have made the OnePlus 7T Pro official. Here’s what you need to know.

It’s looks identical to the 7 Pro

From the outside at least. That’s not a bad thing, the OnePlus 7 Pro is a stunning looking phone and the 7T Pro mirror it. So you’re getting an all-screen design with a 6.7-inch QHD+ 90Hz(!) AMOLED screen, a pop-up 16MP selfie camera.

It’s had a RAM and processor boost

The base model of the OnePlus 7 Pro has 6GB of RAM. The OnePlus 7T Pro takes it to 8GB, plus it adds a new Qualcomm-made Snapdragon 855+ processor to speed everything up.

Storage space has been increased

You get 256GB of storage on the OnePlus 7T Pro, versus 128GB on the standard 7 Pro.

Battery life has been improved and the camera has had an upgrade

A larger 4085mAh battery beats the 4000mAh found on the 7 Pro. In addition, the updated camera includes a 117-degree ultra-wide sensor. This alongside the 8MP zoom lens means it’s the best camera setup OnePlus have launched to date.

They’ve improved the camera software too with Portrait Mode now working with the 2x telephoto lens and a new Super Stable Mode for shooting videos. With a little gyroscope magic, OnePlus claim your photos and videos will be rock steady, even if you’re moving all over the place.

Warp speed

The OnePlus 7T Pro has been kitted out with the latest version of Warp Charge which will apparently charge your phone 23% faster than the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro.

McLaren Edition

OnePlus also unveiled the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition. It’s the same as the OnePlus 7T Pro in terms of spec, but beefs up the RAM to 12GB, all packed up in a nice McLaren-themed shell. We do like that orange.

Pricing starts at £549 for the OnePlus 7T, £699 for the OnePlus 7T Pro and £799 for the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition. The first two will be available in the UK from October 17 with the McLaren Edition launching November 5.
