Nothing have officially confirmed the launch date and its just around the corner
They teased us, they shared small updates and now they’ve made it official, the Nothing Phone 2 will be unveiled at 4pm (BST) on July 11 2023.
Nothing confirmed the date on Twitter along with the launch of a new page on their site inviting phone fans to “come to the bright side”. We don’t know much more about the phone specs, but expect it to be an upgraded version of the Phone (1), whilst still retaining a lower price point compared to some of the big boys premium flagship models.
You can currently pre-register on Nothing’s website for a reminder of when the event kicks off, and no doubt pre-order and price info.
The teaser image for the unveiling shows some octopus tentacles along with what looks like the rear of the phone, with it’s Glyph disco light display. The lights will no doubt be included in some way on the new model, given what a headline feature they were when the Phone (1) launched last year.
The Nothing Phone (2) will be launching across Europe, including the UK, and is also expected to go on sale in the USA this time too. This will be the first Nothing phone to officially launch in the US.
The device is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 from Qualcomm, but as to the design or other specs, nothing has been confirmed.
This will be Carl Pei’s second phone launch for Nothing and the tech community will be watching closely to see if they can win over more Android and iPhone users through the brand’s aim to ‘make tech interesting again’.
More to come on Direct Mobiles, including pre-order and price info as soon as it’s available.
Picking up the Nothing Phone (2), let us know on Twitter.
