The mobile phone marketplace has announced CashLab, a new fast phone selling service, initially in London

Mozillion, the UK’s first dedicated marketplace for buying and selling preowned phones, has today announced a new instant cash service for Londoners looking to sell their phone. Once they accept an offer on the Mozillion selling platform, they can get their cash within hours.

With a new diagnostic centre now open in Central London, Mozillion’s CashLab service collects sellers’ phones, tests them and pays the proceeds direct into their bank – all in as little as 3 hours, enabling people to get more cash in their pocket compared to trading it in – even faster.

CEO Len Leeson explains: “From Ealing to Barking and Edgware to Morden, sellers don’t need to move from their sofa or desk. And we unleash their cash the second their phone passes our checks.”

Leeson adds: “In minutes, our diagnostics deliver a forensic 90-point check for visual condition, genuine parts, performance and battery health. We also check against the major lost and stolen databases. We’re only interested in verified, high-quality phones – and our sellers get market-leading prices in return.”

To give a recent example, a good-as-new iPhone 14 Pro 128GB would have fetched £545 as a network trade-in. But through CashLab, Mozillion’s seller received £703 – and was paid in 2 hours.

It’s not often common knowledge that selling your phone privately on a marketplace usually banks you far more cash than trading it in, and often people can’t be bothered with the hassle so Mozillion have aimed to make it pain and risk free, with their team handling everything, including collection, postage, delivery, payments and giving your phone a 24 month guarantee so it’s more attractive to buyers on their marketplace.

The service is currently available within London travel zones 1-4 and for iPhone 12-14 models including Plus, Pro and Pro Max. Mozillion sellers outside of those areas or with other phone models can still use Mozillion’s marketplace for selling (and buying) as normal with their postage service.
