Tomorrow is the big day. On Tuesday September 10 2019 Apple are holding an exclusive launch event where they have some product news to share with us. What will it be? At this stage, only Apple themselves officially know, but rumours point towards a new iPhone alongside some other new products and service updates.
Previously, Apple have made it quite difficult for non-Apple users to watch the event live, with their live video stream only working on Safari browsers, but this year, they’re keen to attract an even wider audience.
How can I watch the Apple event?
If you want to watch the event live, you now have a few options…
Apple’s website
Apple will as usual be showing a live stream of the event on their website. Just head to their site via a compatible browser and you can watch the announcement live. If you head there before the event, you can set a handy reminder for when they go live.
YouTube
New to Apple’s live streaming this year is YouTube. This is a first for Apple for an event like this. Head to their YouTube page to watch the event live there. You can set a reminder for the event and subscribe to their channel for updates too.
It used to be that you needed an iOS device to watch the stream in a mobile browser, but the addition of YouTube as a streaming option gives Apple access to an even bigger audience for the event.
Roku, Fire TV, or Apple TV
Seeing the presentation on your big screen TV is still the best experience. Launch the stream on any streaming box inside the YouTube app (search for “Apple event” to find it). If you have an Apple TV, you can also download the Apple Events App from the App Store or just stream from your device using AirPlay.
Don’t worry if you can’t stream the event
