We’ve been thoroughly enjoying playing around with this year’s Honor smartphones but they’re not done just yet. The brand have just announced that the new Honor 20 series will be unveiled on May 21 2019 at an event in London. An invitation featuring London’s iconic Tower Bridge has been sent out accompanied by the hashtag #capturewonder.
Now whilst we don’t yet know what the new flagship phone will include, that hashtag gives us a clue that there will be a focus on photography, perhaps in a similar vein to Huawei’s P30 series launch last month. Smartphone camera have really upped their game over the last 12 months, with some spectacular launches including the Samsung Galaxy S10, Huawei P30 Pro and Google’s Pixel 3, as well as Honor’s very own View 20 series earlier in the year (not to be confused with this new 20 series arriving in May).
This is going to the be the first time Honor have launched a phone in Europe, without launching it first in China, which shows just how serious the brand are about the European market. The Direct Mobiles team will be at the event bringing you all the announcements as they happen, what we think of the Honor 20, plus of course all the info on how you can get your hands on one.
The Honor 20 will be the follow up to the hugely popular Honor 10 which packed an octa-core Kirin 970 processor, 4GB RAM and 128GB internal memory so expect the new 20 model to improve on those specs.
