iPhone_4SLaunched in October 2011, the iPhone 4S built on the success and popularity of Apple’s iPhone 4 with several main improvements and enhancements. Let’s take a closer look at iPhone 4S handset’s features.

Apple has used the same design and screen as the iPhone 4 so the iPhone 4S keeps the 3.5-inch LED backlit 640 x 960 with a 330ppi resolution touchscreen. Also available in white or black, the iPhone 4S comes with a larger built-in memory with the option of 16, 32 or 64GB of storage.

The iPhone 4S comes with an 8-megapixel rear facing iSight camera which features autofocus, tap to focus, an LED flash, panorama setting and face detection for stills. The camera records in HD of 1080p and has video stabilisation. Similar to the iPhone 4, the 4S has a front facing 30 frames-per-second VGA camera which is ideal for FaceTime.

One of the main attractions of the iPhone 4S is that in conjunction with the latest Apple operating system, it features ‘Siri’ , Apple’s ‘intelligent assistant’ software.  So you essentially have your own virtual PA which can be used to make calls, compose and send texts and look up information on the internet. Siri can follow simple voice commands and can schedule appointments, play your music, give you sports score updates, provide directions and take dictation so you can update your Twitter or Facebook feeds hands-free.

The iPhone 4S is powered by an Apple A5 chip and a 1 GHz Cortex-A9 dual-core processor and also has 512MB of RAM. The battery (a 1432 mAh) provides up to 8 hours of 3G talk time, 200 hours on standby or up to 6 hours of internet usage.
