Speculation has been rife in the last week or so about the possibility of Apple launching a C version of the iPhone 6. We first saw a budget version of an iPhone smartphone back in September 2013 – the iPhone 5C – and it looks like there’s a good chance that Apple will unveil a budget version of the iPhone 6 too.
If you prefer a smaller iPhone handset which is competitively priced then the iPhone 6C could be ideal. It’s thought that the anticipated new smartphone will feature a 4-inch screen like the 5C and that it will also sport a plastic design and will come in a range of bright and appealing colours. Images have appeared online purporting to be the new iPhone 6C and the overall look is very similar to the iPhone 5C with a few variations to the rear cover of the handset which include an oval-shaped cut-out for the camera flash and an additional row of holes for the speakers along the bottom edge of the cover.
Although the iPhone 6C is likely to be a budget Apple smartphone, some of the rumoured specs are looking to be promising with several features thought to be the same as those included in the original iPhone 6. There’s speculation that the 6C will also boast an A8 chip as well as the Touch ID fingerprint scanner and NFC which means it offer Apple Pay when it’s up and running. The iPhone 6C is anticipated to offer the popular health tracking features and the display will be protected by Gorilla Glass.
Look out for out blogs over the coming months as we’ll bring you more news on the possible iPhone 6C as we get it.
