There are some really great accessories out there for the Samsung Galaxy S4. If you’re thinking about putting together your Christmas lists, here are some of our favourites.
Samsung S Band
Get yourself fit or improve on your current fitness with this great accessory which works alongside the S Health app. Like Fitbit and Jawbone, the S Band encourages you to become more active by keeping a record of the number of steps you take every day and tracking your activities, calories burnt and the time spent sleeping. Definitely one for the list if you are aiming to get healthy and fit after the indulgences of Christmas.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Game Pad
If you’re a gaming fan, you’ve probably heard about Samsung’s Game Pad. As well as an S4 accessory, the Game Pad can also be used with the S3, S3 Mini and Galaxy Note 2. The Game Pad cradle can expand in size to fit Samsung handsets ranging from 4 inches up to 6.3-inches. Similar in style to an Xbox controller, it features the usual console-type controls and works via Bluetooth with the S4. It costs around £80 and is compatible with more than 80 Android games.
S4 Wireless Charging Kit
Samsung’s official Galaxy S4’s wireless charging kit is worth the extra pennies as there are plenty of reports online about various other wireless cases not fitting or working with the Galaxy S4. The charging kit comes with an interchangeable charging back cover and a charging plate so it’s easy to charge up your handset wherever you may be. One useful thing to bear in mind is that the NFC technology will still work with the charging cover on.
Philips Fidelio AS851 Dock
This lovely top of the range versatile dock is compatible with many other Android smartphones as well as the Samsung Galaxy S4. It’s not cheap at around £200 but it features 2 x 15 watt speakers, a space-age look and Bluetooth connectivity. Providing excellent sound quality, the Fidelio is a great addition to your S4 smartphone.
Tech21 Case
If you’re looking for a decent and very robust case, Tech21 have a great selection of mobile phone cases which come with ‘impact reduction technology’. This essentially means that if you do drop your handset, the case will take the impact and redirect the force away from your phone thanks to the D30 material within the case. Starting from £20, choose from the snap-on designs or the slim line Shell version.
