Samsung have announced that their 5G version of the Galaxy S10 will be launching in the UK on Friday June 7. It will be available on EE and Vodafone only initially, making them the exclusive networks for the first 5G Galaxy phone. Additional networks are expected to be added at a later date, but there is no confirmation yet.
You’ll be able to pre-order the device from May 22 on EE and Vodafone and it will be available in two colours; Majestic Black or Crown Silver.
In addition to 5G-compatibility, the Galaxy S10 5G also improves on the spec of the original S10 series with improvements to help it utilise the new network, including a bigger battery and a new 3D Depth Camera on both sides of the phone that uses Time of Flight (ToF) tech which helps judge depth and distance.

With Vodafone confirming that their 5G plans will be available from July 3 and EE stating that theirs are on the way soon too, the 5G revolution has officially started. Whilst 5G users should expect increased speeds, it will take a bit of time for the network to realise it’s full potential as it rolls out across the UK and app makers and gaming companies launch new products that take full advantage of the new network capabilities.
