HTC-one-handsetThe HTC One was launched to rave reviews in the Spring of 2013. Lightweight, sleek and pretty stylish, it’s an impressive smartphone full of great features. If you’re considering purchasing or upgrading to the HTC One handset, here’s the handy stuff you need to know.

As well as its shiny curvy good looks, the HTC One has been built with robustness in mind. With a fully moulded aluminium body (without any annoying gaps), the tapered sides means that it fits comfortably in your hand whilst the super-tough Gorilla Glass offers decent screen protection. The Super LCD3, full HD screen measures a phabletish 4.7-inches and gives a great pixel density of 469ppi.

Powered by the Snapdragon 600 1.7GHz Quad-core processor, the HTC One comes with 32 or 64GB of internal storage which means it’s both very quick and powerful to use.

It’s home screen features HTC’s BinkFeed, which can be customised to stream all of your favourite content so you can see your social media updates, new emails, breaking news etc as they happen. The HTC One comes with an UltraPixel 4-megapixel camera which boasts image stabilisation, 5 levels of automatic smart flash and 1080p HD video recording. One of this handset’s best innovations is called HTC Zoe where you can set the camera to do a three-second continuous photo-shoot which can capture up to 20 consecutive images. You can then go through each of the frames to choose your best shot or you can pick the best images from a few frames and create your own photo composition. You can also make photos and videos available to share with friends and family by using HTC Share.

The HTC One also features a 2.1-megapixel front camera, HTC Boomsound with dual front stereo speakers and built-in amplifiers and Sense TV which enables you to use your handset as a TV guide and remote control.
