Serious Gaming Phone Required? Take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S10 series.
When you are looking to invest in a new phone and you are a serious gamer there a number of factors you have to take into account when making your choice, beyond the usual camera specs and does it have Bluetooth.
Chipset and Graphics Processing Unit
These are the brains that power the phone. The GPU renders images animations and videos on the phones screen and the chipset governs the level of performance. The Samsung S10 series comes with the Exynos chipsets which are the most powerful smartphone chips available in the market.
RAM is short for Random Access Memory
This is the memory that is used for phones working memory, not for storage. Therefore the more RAM the better and the more tasks the phone can complete at the same time and the more it can do at greater speed. The good news is that the S10e has 6gb of RAM, the S10 up to 8GB and S10+ has up to 12GB of RAM. For comparions, the iPhone XS has 4GB.
Display
Fairly obvious one here but there is no point in choosing a phone that does not have the best available display to make your games really sizzle and shine – it’s the mobile equivalent of choosing a new TV to display your PlayStation 4 Pro games on. The S10e, S10 and S10+ have the Infinity-O Display and sized respectively at 5.8”, 6.1” and a massive 6.4”.
Sound
When gaming you really want to hear and feel the effects so it’s good to hear that the Samsung S10e, S10 and S10+ all have AKG stereo-tuned speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack and Dolby Atmos 3D sound as standard.
Connectivity
Goes without saying the best 4G and the best WiFi connections will ensure whether you are at home, the office or on the move that your gaming experience will be smooth and uninterrupted – important when you’re down to the last three players on Fortnite. All the S10 range have LTE-A Cat. 20 and WiFi a/b/g/n/ac connectivity as standard.
Battery
With all the hardware included above you need a juicy battery to keep you going, the S10e has 3100 mAh, S10 has 3500mah and the S10+ has an even bigger 4100 mAh battery.
In conclusion the S10 series has all the necessary specs to ensure that the you get the best gaming phone on the market and one that will fit your budget, but the pick of the bunch if you want to go for the very top spec, has to be the S10+ with 12GB of RAM and a 1TB of memory.
Happy gaming!
