September is full of exciting new launches and we’re hoping to see more at the IFA Berlin event this week.
IFA begins on September 4th in Berlin, Germany and will last till the 9th, where you will get to see the likes of LG Display CEO Sang-Beom Han and Microsoft’s Nick Parker speaking about the latest from their factories.
Expected Launches
From mobility, health and big data to design, home, and entertainment, the event will bring a range of announcements. We’re going to tap in for updates on the latest mobile launches. Expected are the LG sensor SmartThinQ Sensor for smart homes that was recently unveiled, Sony’s Xperia Z5 series, Motorola’s Moto Style, Asus’s ZenFone series, LG’s Urbane Watch Luxe and a new Windows 10 mobile from Microsoft.
Let’s take a look at some of them:
LG’s SmartThinQ Sensor
Samsung’s Gear S2 smart watch was to be unveiled at the IFA, but there could have been a lot of pressure after the teaser shown at New York last week because Samsung has officially shared specs of the watch online:
1GHz dual-core chipset
512MB RAM
4GB of storage
Tizen OS
And there’s a 3G version too.
Urbane Watch Luxe was also recently outed and will be displayed at the IFA. Priced at £785, this luxury watch has a gold body and an alligator leather strap.
LG also has a tablet planned – the LG G Pad II has a 10.1 inch display and is set to take over from the LG G Pad II 8.0. And there are 2 new wireless speakers coming up too.
Sony Xperia Z5, along with versions of it – the Z5 Compact and the Z5 premium – are also touted to be launched at the IFA. Their biggest selling point is their 23 megapixel cameras, but the three versions with varying display sizes will mean there’s something for everyone:
Z5 5.2-inch display
Z5 Compact 4.6-inch display
Z5 Premium 5.5-inch display
According to rumours we’re hearing, Huawei will launch the curved display “Mate S” and Microsoft is also expected to launch a Windows 10 phone.
Asus’s press event at the IFA 2015 will see the launch of a new mobile in the Zenfone series and a smartwatch called the ZenWatch 2.
